    Fair salary, federal retirement plan, full benefits including healthcare.

    Cons

    Sweatshop. Company will retain you if you maintain a minimum of patent application reviews. Said number of reviews will make your life quality poor and terrible. Some employees commit suicide, which is a huge number compared to other federal departments.

    Extreme flexibility and decent pay. You can also get overtime pay based on your GS level.

    Cons

    This job is great for introverts who don't care about interacting with others. This job is good and tolerable if you have a good and caring boss (SPE) otherwise, life becomes hell.
